    Empire Records is apparently the School Bus Trip movie from the 90s. They played Empire Records along with several other bad movies (including The Little Rascals) and one good movie (Dazed and Confused) on a bus trip to Washington DC and New York (from Iowa) in the late 90s. Here’s another parallel – we started watching not Airplane, but The Jerk with Steve Martin until people complained and forced them to turn it off and put in something else. I don’t remember if it was Empire Records but it might have been.
