Episode 65- Wild Things

This week on Rewatchability, we reward our inner 14-year-olds with the 1998 trash classic Wild Things. After fourteen years, and several straight-to-video, in-name-only sequels, Wild Things‘ reputation isn’t great, but is it better than people remember? Most people saw it for one reason in 1998… *cough*… But, hey, it was directed by John McNaughton (Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer) and who remembers the fact that Bill Murray is in this movie? And did you know Wild Things actually isn’t supposed to be an adaptation of Maurice Sendak’s classic children’s book?

Joined by guest Johnnie Walker we discuss if Wild Things is rewatchable, while trying to keep the double entendres to a minimum. To hear our sexiest episode since Jumanji, download the link below, or better yet, subscribe on iTunes! And be sure to follow us on Twitter!

Episode 59- The Craft

It’s October and here at Rewatchability we like to celebrate Halloween all month long with episodes devoted to movies and television best suited for the spookiest time of the year. First up, 1996’s The Craft, starring Robin Tunney, Fairuza Balk, Neve Campbell, Rachel True, and Skeet Ulrich. This movie has everything: witches… well, it mainly just has witches, but that’s okay! It was cutting edge in 1996, but how does it hold up now? To find out we’re joined by guest Alexandra West, download the link below, or better yet, subscribe on iTunes! And be sure to follow us on Twitter!

Episode 12- Are You Afraid of the Dark?

Well, are you? Not anymore… but there was a time when this show was legitimately scary. It also helped launch the careers of actors like Ryan Gosling, Neve Campbell, and Elisha Cuthbert. Though it may be a bit silly now, the show remains a cultural touchstone for anyone who grew up in the ’90s, and it makes for wonderfully nostalgic Halloween viewing.
